BUGA-HydroCol consists of water-soluble amino acid and peptide groups. It contains approximately 95% and above amino acid groups. BUGA-HydroCol is the form of atelocollagen broken down into amino acids by factors such as acid/heat/enzyme and is in powder form. The molecular weight of hydrolyzed collagen produced from cattle tendons is in the range of 3-8 kDa and its molecular weight is lower compared to atelocollagen and its effectiveness is shorter due to its structure broken down into amino acids. Due to its low molecular weight amino acid structure, it is frequently used in osteoarthritis treatments in the medical device sector. BUGA-HydroCol is also used in hair care products to support joint health and reduce joint pain, accelerate the healing process of wounds and burns on the skin, and strengthen and increase the shine of hair. It is used in protein-supported personal care products in the cosmetics sector. It is used in the food supplement category in the food sectors.
